New Zealand Active Investor visa
This route is for high net worth individuals who can invest a minimum of 5 million NZD into New Zealand (usually via managed funds). The highlights of this route are:

Requirements
The Principal Applicant
The principal applicant must meet ALL of the requirements below:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Must be of good character and in good health.
- Invest at least NZD $5 million in appropriate investments in New Zealand if you choose to invest under the Growth category, or at least NZD $10 million if you choose to invest under the Balanced category.
- Have earned or acquired your investment funds lawfully.
Qualifying Dependents
To qualify as dependents, applicants must be:
- Children aged 24 and younger
- A Spouse
Investment Options
There are two investment options available:
Growth category
- Requires a minimum investment of NZD 5 million in managed funds and direct business investments and needs to be approved by New Zealand Trade & Enterprise (NZTE).
- Investments have to be held for 3 years.
- Investors must stay in New Zealand for at least 21 days.
Balanced Category
- Requires a minimum investment of NZD 10 million in a variety of eligible investment options, such as bonds, managed funds, stocks, real estate development, direct business investments, and philanthropy.
- Investments have to be held for 5 years.
- Investors must spend at least 105 days in New Zealand over this five-year period, though this requirement may be reduced with a higher investment.
Process Overview
